In November of 2016, my husband and I found out we were pregnant with our first child! I wasn't crazy about the idea working a 9 to 5 job to pay for daycare. So my husband and I got to thinking, did a lot of research, and we decided to start an embroidery business.

We live in a small town in Eastern Colorado. The lady who had been doing embroidery here sold out to someone a few hours away. So we took a chance, and bought a machine, went to a class, and my husband and father in law fixed up one of our shops to accommodate this new business. By the time the shop was fixed up and the machine was set up, it was about a month before my due date, so we spent the first part of our business venture getting the word out and learning how to embroider different things.

I was also a high school assistant volleyball coach, so between that, being a new mother, and starting this business, I had my hands full. Once I acquired some customers, I got busier, and we ended up buying another machine to be more productive.

We now have three kids and I am able to run my business out of my home. It is such a joy to be able to stay at home with my kids, and also give back to the community with this business.
